Why we’re called 0th Layer

Count what’s actually holding up an AI company. Your company sits on your product. Your product sits on your AI systems. Your AI systems sit on the people who build them — and that’s the layer nobody names, because it isn’t a system. It’s the ground everything else stands on.

We didn’t want to be another layer stacked on top — another platform sitting between you and the person you hire, one more step in an already broken process. We wanted to be the layer underneath: the one everything else is built on, the one that was there before there was a product, a system, or a company at all. Counting up from a stack starts at one. Counting the ground it’s standing on starts at zero.

That’s the whole name. Not a clever ordinal, a literal one: 0th Layer is the foundation an AI company actually gets built on — the people, found by people who’ve done this work themselves.
